Here is a picture of a piece of furniture that I made over the last few weeks. The only part that really sucked was taking the time to put a good finish on it. I think my next project is going to be a desk.

This past weekend I went to Valdosta to help a buddy build a DVD cabinet to hold some where in the range of 500-600 DVDs. I have been working on the plan for the past few weeks. What I came up with is a book case of sorts that has three 2’ sections. The two side shelves are 6� deep and the center is 8� deep. This gives it a better look than if it were all one equal depth. I also made the center section 4 inches higher than the two ends to add some more detail to the DVD case. Overall I would conceder this project a success but I did learn some valuable lessons.

1. When using particle board always go over ½ an inch.
2. Don’t trust that the boards in the store are straight.
3. Don’t leave your power tools outside during a rain storm.
4. It really stinks have to buy a 8’ piece of trim for a 2� section b/c the first board was too short.
5. Paint hides pretty much all mistakes
6. 800mg ibuprofen is awesome when your back hurts.

What is the deal with the media now, we have a bird flu that is going to kill half the worlds population (or so the internet said) and all that the news talks about is global warming. Will it even matter how hot or cold it is once we are all sick with the flu? This comes about because I am battling a flu like sickness now and every needs to feel my pain. (Why is it that you feel bad staying home from work when you are really sick?)

Please place comments on what needs to be fixed on this site. I am really interested in what is not showing up well on others screens and what still needs work. I am trying to do it all with CSS so if we ever decide to go to WP 1.5 it will be an easy transfer for me. The Items I want to fix is the header the tile and the menu bar on the side is still stock. Please give me constructive thoughts on what might need to be fixed so I can get to working on them.

I have finally decided to begin working on my website. Keep coming back and sometime it might be finished.
